Fiber Internet Troubleshooting
Thank you for choosing AOP Fiber Internet. Below is a list of troubleshooting questions and answers that may help you reestablish your internet connection.
Q: My ONU (the small white box) is showing a solid red light.
What does that mean?
A: This red light is the LOS (loss of signal) light indicates that there is a loss of signal somewhere between our network and the equipment. There are steps to take to troubleshoot this issue before calling us.
- Unplug the power brick from the wall or from the ONU itself. Let it stay off for at least 10 seconds. Then plug it back in. It should restart and show a green light. -If- the light still shows red, go to step 2.
- Call us at 337-477-3800 to speak to a support representative.
Q: My ONU (the small white box) is showing 3 green lights, but my internet is not working.
What does this mean?
A: This indicates an issue with your wireless router.
- Unplug the router from the wall or back of the device. Let is stay off for at least 10 seconds. Then plug it back in. It should restart and show a green internet light on the router. -If- the internet light is red, you’ll need to move to step 2.
- Plug a computer straight into the ONU provided by AOP.
- If the internet does work when your computer is plugged directly into your ONU, then your router is the issue. In that case, you will need to factory reset or completely replace your router.
- If your internet does not work when your computer is plugged directly into your ONU, then call 337-477-3800.
